Hello, I have been through the malware removal several times, previously and it has seemed to work but this time no joy. This time when I boot the computer the admin screen (mine) has no icons or controls of any sort. I'm using my sons screen. We are using xp with service pack 3. I'm not even sure how I am going to get into contact with you since I don't know my sons email, unless I use my gmail acct. we seem to have a supreme savings redirector with also a problem with Microsoft security essentials and java is behaving badly, any hints on where to start debugging this machine will be greatly appreciated my gmail is xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx , thanks in advance for your help!

Can you open Task Manager ( use CTRL-SHIFT-ESC )? If so can you click File, New Task Run.... and enter explorer and click OK. Does it run and do icons appear?

If the above does not work, what happens if you boot up in safe mode with your account?

???? Your son's PC? Or do you mean your son's login on the same problem PC where you cannot get your Desktop.

We do not work via email. We only work here in the forum. Your email address was deleted to avoid you getting spammed. It is never a good idea to post your email address in an open forum. The spambots will pick it up and you will be inundated.

Sorry I got it, a little slow some days., I wasn't going to, and I screwed up. So right now I have my admin screen working, here are the symptoms. I have updates from Microsoft that will not upload for MSE. Java security updates that I cannot find to download, some sort of redirector from supreme savings and the problem with the boot up and an empty desktop after booting up. so far malwarebytes hasn't found anything, super anti-spyware hasn't found anything, and I'll go to the malware page and run all scans and post logs, if that is what I need to do. thanks again for helping me!
