help i cant get one of my updates help

i just got my updates but one of them failed its the security update for windows xp please i dont know what to do please help

yes it is um will microsoft fix it themselves and release it in a few hours im a bit scared to download this myself from the link you posted

ive never done it before

ive always just downloaded the updates once the little icon pops up on my laptop

I'm unsure why its different from installing anything else. This is simply an executable straight from Microsoft.

If you watch the Windows Update, it doesn't fail on installation, it fails on downloading. So either the update isn't even on the server, or its corrupt.

Check Windows Update when you are done and make sure there are no updates available. You'll then know if it took.

i checked to see if the site said i had no updates left to get and it said 0 updates so i know it worked yay
