Help! I click on My Computer and nothing happens!

I use "My Computer" alot to navigate to other drives on my machine and all the sudden when I click on it nothing happens. Now that I think about it, "My Computer" has hesitated for a second when I click on it lately, (last couple of days). I download alot of ebooks, could a virus hide from AVG or McAfee Security Suite in a PDF file? I though I was safe if I scanned files first with two scanners before I opened them. Please Help I'm Scared

 

First, try a re-boot. If that doesn't work, try a System Restore to about a week ago and see if your "My Computer" works faster.

 

Thank You billm70! so much! I did as you said although not in that order. I was afraid if I shut down it might not come back up. The sys restore made it work again and the hesitation is gone but how do I keep from going into a time warp and repeating this same scenario over and over and over....Just Kidding. Thank You very much! Do you think that was caused by a virus or could Java which I just installed about 20 mins before have had somthing to do with it?

 

I'm not really sure how we get these darned bugs. Probably from some of our surfing. Be sure to restart your System restore again, so it will be ready when you need it.
