Help! I'm Being Attacked!

I'm not sure where else to post this, but I starting getting this in my email a week ago and it has rapidly increased from once a day to 5 times just this morning. It says it's from the Microsoft Account Team:

"From: account-security-noreply@accountprotection.microsoft.com

We received your request for a single-use code to use with your Microsoft account.

Your single-use code is: xxxxxx

If you didn't request this code, you can safely ignore this email. Someone else might have typed your email address by mistake.

I've X'd out the code. I don't remember ever having a Microsoft account! Are they talking about an email account? Can they get into my accounts and steal my identity? Can they reach out and steal my dog?!! ;-) What should I do?
