help in removing programs in start up

    hi i could use so help with deleating some stuff in my start up.i m using winxp pro/sygate firewall/trojon hunter/f-prot av/ad-aware se/ms anti virus/spyware blaster/spyware guard/winpatrol/and im using mozzilla firefox web browser.my problem is i deleted some programs that i no longer wanted, and i noticed that they still are in my start up , i went into regedit and deleted them from there but they still come back.i turned off sysrestore booted into safe mode, however they were not there.as soon as i booted back up they were there i tried to disable them but they just seemed to reproduce another copy of its self.i went to the location that hijackthis said where they were but i could not find them..please help...here is what i would like to remove1...hklm\..run\taskplus........c:programfiles\taskplus\taskplus0.exe(i dont even know what this is)2..hklm\..run\logictech utility\logii_mwx.exe..3..hklm\run ppmemcheck..."c\programfiles\pestpatrol\ppmemcheck.exe"..4..hkcu\run teddywarez`magickillah.."c\programfiles\twz\magickillah\netdetect.exe"..5 hkcu\spybotsd teatimer..c\program files\spybot-search&destroy\teatimer.exe.6 and lastly i have somthing called leechget its only in hkcu run ...i have allso blocked all these apps. with my firewall thanks to anyone that can help me out cheers geekmarine

    Did you delete the files or did you use Add/Remove programs? The proper way to uninstall programs is to first use Add/Remove programs.

    Why are you trying to delet Spybot's Teatimer? If you do not want it to run, then disable the feature within Spybot. If you do not want Spybot on your system, uninstall it (but why would you remove Spybot)?

    You said you use "ms anti virus" . Did you mean Microsoft Antispyware?

    Are you having malware problems?

    hey chas, sorry i ment ms anti spyware(giant)..the programs were all .exe and would load into my start up, i just wanted to clean up my start up list.however all is well. i found help with autorun3 its a great program..as for spybot s&d i think its a real good program but the ms anti spyware is, i think one step better..thanks for your interest..cheers keep fighting the good fight.

    I repeat:
    Uninstalling vs control startup items are two different things.

    MS Antispyware has problems right now. Lot's of False Positives and removal of items that it should not be removing. We have also seen several cases where it broke Microsoft's own built-in WinXP SP2 firewall.
