    Hi guys,
No more smiley faces. I am getting irritated. Internet Explorer crashes quite a few times. HELP!!! I am using Windows ME, have Norton Crash Guard 3.0 installed and running on the task bar, AVG Anti Virus and Outpost firewall as well as Zone Alarm. I usually delete Outpost firewall on computer start up.
I ran norton win doctor and it detected no problems............Can you believe that..............Can you help?

Which version of IE are you using?Upgrade to IE6 if you havent.
Does it happen on any site?
Try repairing IE from add/remove programs in control panel.

    Hi guys,
Thanks for the suggestions. As I am using Windows ME at the moment its Explorer 5.0.
Yea.........I'll upgrade tonight and try that.
As for sites I was getting the crash on Yahoo mail........trying to set up an account and Hotmail.............trying to check mail.
I kept getting another error with yahoomail..............cannot accept cookies....therefore I got a guy friend to set up the account for me and after I could send and receive messages as normal. Why cannot accept cookies?
    Any relation?

    Babyangel.

Does your internet option prevent you from accepting cookies?
Try checking your setting, from IE tools>internet option>privacy.

  7. Why let Outpost run on start up  in the first place if your using Zone Alarme? Have you tried to make IE repare itself by going to uninstal programes > Internet Explorer and choosing repare Internet Explorer? It's worth a shot.

    Hi guys,
Thanks so much for all the advice everyone. That link worked like magic kadavill.....answered soooooo many questions. As for the cookies for yahoo.......no problems again as well as for trusted sites. As for running Firefox......prefer use Windows Explorer.
You have a point with having Outpost run as well as Zone Alarm. I'll see about changing that.

    No more crashes yea.....What a relief.........thanks all.

    You're a doll
