Help! Internet problem ?!?! Or not ..

Hi hope this is in the right place,

I cant access certain websites, i have no filters or anything on my broadband .. It doesnt even bring up page cannot be displayed messages it ust trys to load them forever with the timer bar usually finishing on 4 bars ?!?! main sites are - myspace, hotmail and a few others, this also happens at a mate of mines so i know ts not specific to this laptop!

Any ideas appreciated

What anti-virus/firewall are you using?

Try disabling them temporarily and see what happens.

Ive switched em off with no joy

 

Within Internet Explorer, click the "Tools" menu and choose "Internet Options."

Click the tab labeled "Privacy."

Click the button labeled "Advanced."

Check the option labeled "Override automatic cookie handling."

To enable cookies:

Set "First-party Cookies" and "Third-party Cookies" to "Accept."

Click "OK" to save changes and close the dialog box. Try the websites now.

Have you tried installing another browser, such as FireFox, to see what kind of luck you have?

If you are able with another browser to access the sites you couldn't with I.E., then you will know that something is corrupt with the program, or there is mal-ware affecting I.E.

 

Hi, Yeah in Firefox the bar doesnt even move just stays empty :-(

Really bizarre ..
