Help lol..

    hey guys ive been looking for the network drivers related to the k8t890 Motherboard.. ive had a mate look aswell and we cant seem to find the network adapter associated with it ( due to losing the driver disk )

    any help would be much appreciated.

    Hi

    Do you know who the manufacturer of this motherboard is, over just the chipset used on it as some manufacturers may use different network chips which will need different drivers?

    The k8t890 is a VIA chipset which could well be in

    Soltek ( K8T890-A )
    ECS ( K8T890 Pro-939 )
    Gigabyte ( K8VT890-9 )
    ASUS ( Asus’s A8V-E & M2V )

    maybe more but I cannot remember all the makers off-hand, which is why I dont like guessing the mobo maker, especially for drivers as each maker can use various other chipsets for network, sound etc in conjunction with the chipset North and Southbridge.


    All we need is the maker and mobo version and were off :)

    i am not too sure, but i will read you everything that is on the box.

    Gigabyte technology

    k8 Triton
    K8T890 series
    PCI Express
    Dual Channel DDR400

    And the model name is:
    GA-K8VT890-9
    Then underneath that there is:
    VIA K8T890 / VIA 8237R / PCI-E*16
    Socket 939 / ATX / 2PCI-E*1
    4DDR Dual-CH / 8-CH Audio
    GbE / 2 Sata / 8 USB2.0

    Is that all you guys need?
