help making pop ups that have multiple pictures in them

i am looking for some help to make a pop up window on my website that contains multiple pictures that you can scroll thru. basically, i want to say to my readers "hey! click on this picture and see a whole bunch of related pictures". this lady uses these types of popups a lot: http://www.skinnyrabbit.com/.

can somebody tell me how to do this? is it possible to do this using only html or do i also need to use javascript? i know basic html, but not javascript, but would love to learn. maybe you can suggest some good online tutorials for javascript also.

You need to use javascript to get that sort of a popup window to open. First, you create a separate HTML document that contains your pictures. Then, you use javascript code to create a link that will open the document containing the pictures in a popup window. I write my own, but I recommend the following link for those who don't know how to write javascripts:

It will generate the code for you.

I also suggest you take a look at a basic tutorial if you want to start tweaking javascripts. Leaving one tag out of place can generate an error. Here is one of the first primers I ever used when I wanted to learn:
