heLP.......maybe virus pup ...........

    I keep getting an alert from McAfee about a PUP--- PATCHEDSFC (name) and sfc_os.dll (filename). I click remove program and McAfee can't remove it. I have McAfee installed and updated. Ran all window cleaning per sticky post and attached logs. I've searched on internet, nothing seems to work. Also can't update windows; get error message 0x80070002 . I tried registering new update files.......got Loadlibrary file, failed on two of the files. Thanks for your help in advance

    Try this for the update issue:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/910336

    Try this for a way around the sfc_os dll issue is.

    Got to c:\windows\system32\dllcache and make sure there is a backup copy of sfc_os.dll there. If so, go to c:\windows\system32 look for sfc_os.dll amd rename is sfc_os.OLD then copy c:\windows\system32\dllcache\sfc_os.dll to c:\windows\system32\

    Then rescan your system.
