Help Me Choose a Joystick!

Hey there. I was wondering if anybody in the community could help recommend some joysticks to me. I'll be using it for games such as Freespace 2, Flight Simulator 9 and BF2. I've never owned a joystick before (that's a lie, I had one when I was about 6--a crappy one that shipped with a Compaq computer) so I'm not sure exactly what I should be looking for. I was looking at a Saitek X52 Flight Control System which seemed pretty good. I'm looking to spend ~$100 maximum. Possibly be able to stretch a little further if it's worth it.
