Hi. Yesterday I installed AOEMEI backupper on my home PC then very quickly became bamboozled by it and all the choices it gives. I find the technical terms it uses difficult to understand so I am going to uninstall it.

I've read through a lot of reviews for different services but cant seem to find what I want.
I'm looking for something that once installed, will completely protect and copy both my system and Windows and all my personal files automatically and save these copies to an external cloud server. As a beginner I don't want a service which asks me a lot of of techie questions I don't understand in order to set up what I want.

I already have a portable external drive but after a recent Windows update problem I quickly discovered that I need something which also can give me back the complete system and files should failure ok.
Is there any such secure (UK based preferred) company which offers an easy package as described and can give me all the requirements above?
    Thanks

Hi jannie3. Laudable objective but not realistically achievable on a home computer. All the experienced users here routinely backup both their data and their system but they do not delegate the task to a software solution, they define their needs and configure one of the many capable programs like Aomei to satisfy them. Aomei is probably the most user friendly of the available imaging programs but there is no alternative I'm afraid to learning how to use it.

There is though an alternative to these imaging programs as they are called which in some respects fits your needs more closely. I use the free version of Rollback RX. You can read more about it online.

Thanks Earthling. I had a look at Rollback RX but I'm looking for something as described above which copies and saves my whole system and my files automatically to a server. I think I will still delete AOEMI as this doesnt seen to have this feature and keep looking for the nearest thing to what I want for my home PC. Even if that means I will need to take a course before I can use it!

Take a look at Acronis then. It is not free but does, if you pay for it, provide the facility to upload your data to a server. Acronis can be configured to do what you want automatically and to a schedule. It is a bit of a pig to configure though! Must confess to being mystified as to why cloud storage is so important. Local drives are usually a better solution, especially if speed or data usage are important.

Thanks again Earthling. Also looking at IDrive which seems pretty good.

Be interested to hear what choice you finally make and how it goes. My preference is for Macrium Reflect which has proved 100% reliable through countless successful system restores, some of necessity, most of choice. For personal data protection I find file sync software sufficient to augment Win 10 built-in file history.
