help me find windows 98 OS download

I know I am not supppose to ask but I am in desparate need of windows 98 full version download. I have no money at this time to purchase the cd and my sons computer is all messed up by a virus. I need to reformat and reinstall windows 98. Only problem I dont have a cd and I as I have said I can not afford a cd. I read a post somewhere that someone downloaded a copy of Window 98 but I did not see a thread to where. Can anyone help me find a download? I have been trying for at least 4 months now to find someone who will help me. Is it illegal or something to ask this or for someone to post a download? I havent had this much trouble finding anything to download before. If you can help me this single mom would be soooooo appreciative.

Yes, its illegal, Microsoft recently had a site pulled for distributing DOS, yes. DOS. I can understand your plight, but yoou might be better off asking a friend near you, maybe a co-worker, most people have 98 laying around

another alternative to the os is an open source os, try linux you may actually enjoy it once you get past the learning curve.

you can also get the OEM version from computer shops.... provided you buy a piece of hardware with it

Okay ive bought a mouse, and windows 98 OEM. Yep thats right im going to run wi98 on my mouse

Check ebay. They often sell OEM 98 with IDE cables and CD-Rs.
