Help me fix Virtumonde, please

Hi guys,
i'm repairing my friends laptop, and this is the first time i've encountered a problem I couldn't fix by just googling for a few hours.

His computer is slowed down, his browser takes longer to start, and he can't use search engines like google, yahoo etc. The site just doesnt respond after you enter the search words and press enter.

Anyway, I hooked him up with the NOD32 v3, scanned his computer, removed a few things, but even after scanning, the messeges keeps popping up that Virtumonde has been blocked.(it happens like every second.)

I read the thread about Virtumonde, downloaded VundoFix v7.0.3, but it found nothing.(i tried searching with both NOD32 running, and with nod off, coz i thought they may be interfering)
I tried manually adding the filename that NOD32 keeps mentioning, pressed fix vundo, restarted, but his computer still doesnt feel right. NOD32 has calmed down now, no messeges anymore, but i'd like you guys to help me see if there's more to do here before reformatting the whole damned thing.

All I could think of right now is making a log for hijack this, just in case you guys need it. so, yeah, here we go...
