Help Me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!plz !!!!

I'm sure this will sound pathetic to you guys but I need some serious help. so here I go. On the task bar there r some program icons to the very right.

1. How did they get there?

2. How do I remove them? (and I mean step by step)

3. When I log on some programs down there start to run on there on. Is that simply because that fact that there down there or do i have to do something else to stop them from starting up when I log on?

I would it appreciate it dearly if someone could help me with this problem. Thank you.

From your START button, point to PROGRAMS, then START-UP.
You will see most of the stuff listed there. Right click on the ones you want to remove, then select "delete" from the drop down. Don't delete any items that have to do with your ISP software, anti-virus program, or firewall program(if you have one).
Then restart the computer, and repost here if you have any that didn't go away from your taskbar. " Mouse-over" any remaining icons, and post what thay are. Some need to be removed by other methods.
