help me wit ma UPS pl help

    i dunno how to connect my ups properly. I connected it to the CPU so when there is no power the CPU switches on. but monitor switches off. tats cos monitor is connected to power socket and not to the ups. now i'm wondering how to connect both ups and monitor to cpu or however tat is:(
