I'm a newbie to this board. I'm trying to find drivers for a NewQ Gold pc audio device without any luck so far. I can't find a model number on the device of any kind. It does however have a barcode that reads NEWQ22K0101454, other than that it has not other numbers to identify it. I've been to website after website and no one has NewQ drivers...so any assistance would be greatly appreciated...Thanks in advance.

    Hi and Welcome

I wonder if Everest Free or Belarc Advisor will give you some information on a Model number for that... is it a card or a panel looking device that plugs into a drive bay?

Once installed and run all we would need is any info on Audio Adapter or Motherboard.

Reason I mention the drive bay is that I have come across this site for NewQ and drivers http://www.newq.com/product/GoldDSP.asp?menu1=04

Yeah I got that site too. But i think its a dead site..The drivers page wouldn't work when i went to download one just to see. I'm trying to get some motherboard info on it now...but the audio device is onboard...so i went into device manager...and it is not picking it up. It say no audio device present...and I'm wondering if maybe it was disable in the BIOS?

EDIT: I went into the BIOS and the onboard audio is VIA-3058 AC97

So I'm thinking now that the problem may not lie with the NewQ Gold device, but the onboard audio itself..

Yep looks like they are updating the website or havnt finsihed as they have internal server errors on the downloads as you say.

is the Device you have that one I linked too? or similar.... from what I read they are only audio digital sound processing units that run off your existing PCs audio.

DO you have sound coming from your pc audio devices as in Windows Media Player etc or not? if not then follow the below..............

To find the correct driver for your onboard sound, two things.....

Is your PC a OEM ( HP, DELL etc ) one if so what model version.

If Home Build whats the name and version of the motherboard ( Everest or Belarc will help with this... in Everest click Computer > Summary and it will list the basics )

I've got the sound working now, but it is quite a low volume...it just needed drivers for the onboard audio...would like to find one that is a lil louder though

Check the sound settings in Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices... make sure Volumes are not set low.

and if your plugged into that NewQ DSP device with your sound card check its levels too... especially if it has a Graphic Equalizer as they can make the sound seem low Vol.
