I bought a new pc and I have a bunch of old music on my old pc. Well I burn them to a CD and try to play them but it gives me an error and says I don't have authorization to play these. Also I bought about 8 songs from MSN and can't figure out how to convert these so I can save them to a CD and play them.

By the way 95% of the music is legal that I d/l from my own CD's. I was on dial up so not much d/l at my house.

Is there an audio player that will play this CD or do I need to convert them to something else? Sorry to be so vauge but I'm really stupid about this.

what did you save the files as?
what program did you burn with(what form were they burned as)?
do you have access to the old pc (harddrive)?
do you get this error message for all or just some?
Lastly try playing the files with another player(not windows media player)

I think that would probably do the trick. Look for the alternative players like
Real Player alternative, and Quicktime alternative. Those come with big codec packs and windows media classic. Those will play just about everything and are probably available from here.
