Help! Mouse or something else?

I am having some strange issues. I'll give an example but please don't think it is the only time this happens. Example: I go to Lowes.com and choose an item, I then try to click on "add to cart" and nothing happens. I try to use the pad on the laptop instead of the mouse and nothing happens. I changed the battery in the mouse, restarted the computer, reset the wireless mouse, nothing helps. I am using a HP dv9000 and a microsoft wireless mouse. Another example would be a search, I go to lowes.com and in the search field, I enter "mirror", I click on the "go" button to search and nothing happens, I try to use the laptop touchpad, nothing happens, I try to hit enter and I get a "ding". Any ideas? :confused

 

Just a thought here... Are you using any type of 'ad-blocker' or 'popup-blocker'?

The reason that I ask; is because these two can sometimes adversely affect "search field" as well as "add to cart" options (on some websites).

Also, you might try simply interchangeably using another mouse; in order to see if the 'Microsoft wireless mouse' that you are currently using is actually causing this problem..

Side Note: If you do not currently have another mouse available; it would be a good idea to get one and keep it on hand, just in case the wireless one fails you.

I do have a pop-up blocker - I'll try disabling it. I'll get another mouse - they aren't that expensive, I should have tried that first. Thanks for the ideas!

 

There is also a completely different possibility: that the website has not completely loaded, and that the JavaScript that controls the buttons is missing or incomplete.

Or that you have JavaScript disabled, and some shopping sites need it?
