Help! Need to convert .ivr to .wmv or .avi!

I tried to use AnyVideoConverter with no success. Any other free software that you guys know for sure can convert the types? I did it before apparently but not sure if I have the program or even know of a program. Thanks. RSS

Apparently .IVR is a RealPlayer format, so you should be to use RealProducer to convert/burn it. I think RealPlayer can burn it as a VCD. If you use a converter like SUPER, you can probably tell it that the file is a RealMedia file (.RM or .RMVB) and hopefully it will convert it.

You can also try using Dr.DivX to convert to DivX format with a .divx extension on the converted file. You can then simply change the extension to .avi and it'll be OK.

I haven't used SUPER in a really long time, so I can't help with the specifics 'cuz my memory is really, really, really, bad. But Dr.DivX I use regularly... good luck!

 

I was thinking, use something like GSpot to determine the exact codec the file was encoded with. That should make converting it much easier. At least then you'll know if it is truly a RealMedia file, and you can use just about anything that will handle the Real format.
