Help needed choosing a new graphics card

Hey guys,

Need some help choosing a new graphics card. I used to have a ati radeon 9800 pro 128mb AGP. However after many problems it decided to stop working :confused

Its been a few months since, and I am now looking at purchasing a new one. Not sure which one to go for. Im not looking for a top of the range one, just a basic one that would do the same job as my old card. Budget of about £40-50.

Not sure if you need to know specs of my computer or not, but they are

Intel pentium 4 processor 3.0ghz
1gb ram

I have seen this one, but again not sure if its the best one to go with.

First of all, Nvidia has much better technology than ATI, so you get better performance for your money. I am assuming you do not have a PCI-Express slot on your motherboard, so must stick with an AGP card?

Yep, have to stick with agp unfortunately.

Do they just. Frankly that is just rubbish and your point of view. Both make very good cards and the jostle for the top of the hill. If I'm not mistaken the current crown holder is the 4870x2 which can be observed in many reviews and threads. Before the 48xx series nVidia was on top of the hill but got pushed off. "Fanboyism" is very narrow minded, limits your choices because of baseless opinion. Next you'll be stating that AMD are the better CPU's.
