my friend and I built my computer and Installed the audio drivers after 39874 google searches on my girlfriend's cell phone to figure out why it was giving me some 0ex000077 error and wouldn't install since the mobo disk didn't give me sound.
I had to disable windows high def audio in the device manager menu, then it installed. Still says no active mixer devices available and still has a yellow circle by the High definition audio thing. not the High definition audio bus, some other high definition audio thing. It won't let me uninstall, update, or do anyhting with the driver whether I have the main HDA thing (The hda bus thing) disabled or not. It says there is no driver at all for it. I've installed the recent drivers and it didn't help, the yellow mark HDA thing still says no driver.

Since you didn't mention which version of Windows you're using, I'll assume it's Windows XP. You probably need to install KB888111 which is the Microsoft HiDef Audio Update. You can download it from this link. Be sure to uninstall any audio drivers you may have already installed. You should be able to do this from Add/Remove Programs. If not, try it in safe mode. Also, be sure that you do NOT have anything disabled in the Device Manager before installing KB888111. You should also install your chipset drivers before installing KB888111 and/or the sound drivers. You can download the chipset drivers from this link. If you're not running Windows XP with SP2, please post what OS you're using and we'll try something else.
    Good luck! :-D

Thank you, I will try that. It is XPsp2 and the 2nd link does not work for me. I have the current audio drivers, but still no sound. Only High definition audio bus has a yellow circle, it's strange and I'm starting to consider buying a sound card and calling this quits. But I shall try that first Thank you again for your help. I shall post again with an update.

If you have the sound drivers installed but no sound, just install KB888111 and reboot the computer. Hopefully that will do it. Strange the 2nd link doesn't work for you... I just tried again and it works fine here. Try right-clicking on it and copy-paste it into the browser's address bar....

@ jaco444: please start your own thread. Hijacking someone else's thread only confuses the situation... it's hard to tell who is replying to who....
