Help! Norton, Spybot failed

My laptop is infected, and neither Norton or Spybot find anything. For starters, when using a search engine, it directs you to other sites. The notification area now shows no icons. It is often sluggish. I downloaded Hijack this, but am no way prepared to go thru it myself. Any input? Should I run Hijack this and post the log here? I appreciate any help.

Ok...sorry...I ready the sticky. Followed the instructions for cleanup,, ect. All went well except Combofix would not run. Attatched are the logs. The browser still redirects occasionally.

Question: Did you try running ComboFix in Safe Mode? If that doesn't work try this:

Click on Start > Run > type "%userprofile%\desktop\combofix.exe" /F3M <--- the space IS needed after the quotation mark.

Yes, I tried it in Safemode. Didnt work. So....I finally used my last option. Clean install of windows. I just got it all done. So discard my request...sorry to have bothered you!!!
