Help nothing is working !!

It was so nice not having to come to these forums ... obviously not anything against MajorGeeks but having to come here means trouble on the PC don't it. Ah well, heres the problem

ISTbar, YourSiteBar, DyFuca, Dyfuca Internet Optimizer and a host of others with the real bugger being this which doesn't want to be removed from my "Trusted Sites" : *.frame.crazywinnings.com (it just comes back as soon as I deleted it). I've run all the tools (which were all updated on Friday) ... They all pick up the problems but as soon as I go back online, they come back. The cleanup was done in safe mode with system restore off.

When it happened on Saturday night, after a couple seconds of being infected, this opened : Windows File Protection and said something to the effect of "files are missing or replaced or corrupted please insert XP disc". Seeing as I didn't know if this part of some trojan or something, I just restarted the PC.

The PC I'm using hasn't got a cd-rom or even a floppy so I can't post a HJT log. All I can do is give the suspect lines in a thread (obviously not the full pathname or whatever coz doesn't that screw thing up somewhere along the line?)so let me know if thats to be done or not. Anyway, any response to this would be really appreciated as always.

If you ran all the tests PP or Chaslang would probably ask you to post a HJT log. Why can't you do that? (The PC I'm using hasn't got a cd-rom or even a floppy so I can't post a HJT log.) Unless I don't understand you correctly you don't need either of those to post. Will your computer reboot? If you can then:

Make sure you have HijackThis 1.99 and follow the guidelines on where to install it and how to post a log as an attachment. This is all covered in the sticky thread NO HIJACK THIS LOG FILES BEFORE READING THIS: HJT Tutorial & LOG File Posting

Now post a HijackThis log as an attachment to your message (Do not post the log inline). All running programs should be closed, INCLUDING YOUR WEB BROWSER, e-mail. Close before running Hijack This!

To repeat: Do NOT run Hijack This from the Desktop, a temp folder, or a sub-folder of C:\Documents and Settings, or choose to run it directly from the downloaded ZIP file. Place it in its own folde[r for example C:\Program Files\HJT

 

God I'm an idiot .....

I meant to say that I'm using some old crappy PC of my brothers. The trouble PC won't let me use the net ... it shuts down whatever site I go to.
