I already did read and run me first, I am trying to speed my daughters laptop up and noticed that she did have some viruses and malware on there, well on the read and run me first I went to step one for disabling restore but my daughter has windows 98 second edition and it is an older laptop so I dont know how to follow through on step 1, I noticed that she did have viruses and malware they were

    Brong32
    atl_helper wormexe.exe
    actionscr bhoserv.exe
    wareout

can you please tell me how to get rid of these, I did AVG scan and took them out of the msconfig, well disabled them in startup, and went to the add and remove and reemoved what should have been removed, so dont know where to go now, can anyone help me??

    thank you

Read step 1 again! It says (and I will highlite in red the important text)
If you want to fix the PC, you must follow and complete the instructions in the READ & RUN ME and it will require being online to download the tools and run the online scanners.

Thank you for all your help, this is a great forum and very informative and I plan on coming here when ever I have problems, I just have the time nor patience to work on my daughters laptop, I am currently taking a class on viruses and removing but we had a week off and we really only styarted the basics about viruses and not the removing part, so for my sake I feel much more conmfident on taking her computer in and having them do it this time, and when I learn more about what goes on with viruses I can come here to the forum for tips and when I get stuck in a hole againm and can't get out, you guys are great and keep up the good work! really appreciate that you take the time to help us newbie computer illiterates, thank you.
