Help please! Backward cursor movement

    When I click on the desktop folder, it opens a folder two or three folders to the left: when I go online and use the pull down menu from the address bar, it just scrolls backward. When I try to type an address, it types it in backward! I have to do a hard shut down because it will not close the computer with the close buttons. Virus scan with McAfee says it is clean. Please help!

    Well, you could try some malware scanning, for that start here: http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=35407

    But I suspect it could very well be a hardware or driver issue. I wish I could see a video of what it is doing, because it is hard to visualize, but some things to look at are.

    1) Swap you keyboard with a known good one. If you have an issue caused by an object or water - you could get really odd behavior like that.
    2) Swap out you mouse with a known good one.
    3) Double check your start up items. It is possible someone is playing a joke on you.
    4) If you are using 3rd party mouse software, double check your settings and update the driver..
