HELP PLEASE!!! Dvd/CD Burning

Ok if anyone could help me i would really appreciate it.

On my computer i have Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-105 now whenever i write a data cd or dvd after this finishes (thats if the burn process does not fail) when i try to look at anything on the disc it tells me that the disc is blank even though you can see that there is definitly something on the disc.

i can write an audio cd perfectly fine but thats about it.
im using nero 6.

does anyone have the slightest idea what this could be.

Update firmware/bios
Use preminum DVD media, like Ritek, Verbatim, look for media containing AZO/MCC Dye.
I've used been using Verbatim and Great AZO from meritline.com, here is link, great prices:

I also use Nero 6 Ultra.
It's the best IMO.
Make sure you get all updates from Nero web:

I am using Ritek discs, ive tried it with alot of different ones. i think it is the computer anyways because at the moment it cant even detect the riteks. basically it was just to burn everything to cd or dvd to put some stuff onto new laptop.
