Help!! Please I don't know how to help

I really need your help. I'm a domestic violence advocate, I work at a shelter with abused women and children. We had a woman relocate to our shelter from hundreds of miles away. she and one of her children were severly beaten when they were found by her husband. He was able to locate them by using some sort of spyware that was put on her Iphone to get her exact location. Our shelter address is confidential never published anywhere. If any one could give me advice on what to tell future clients in hiding how to protect themselves from spyware when leaving their spouse, I would really appreciate it. I've tried to research it and i'm lost, there are so may different programs. whats a good one? How can we find out if there are any of these tracking programs on the cell phones?

Hello there, I think it's wonderful what you do. Sadly we do not deal with mobile phones here, just laptops and PC's. The best I can offer you is to disable GPS tracking on these phones. There should be an option somewhere to disabled it. Google it by putting "disable GPS tracking" and what model phone it is.

Like Kestrel13!, I can appreciate what you are doing. This is not really spyware, it is a feature to help people find missing phones or to locate lost/missing people too. And yes it could be misused to find people who do not want to be found. See the below link which may be f some help in describing the feature.
