    Hi,
I was wondering if anybody could help me. As of this morning I have been getting the following error message everytime I try to access the internet:

AppName: iexplore.exe AppVer: 7.0.5346.5 ModName: unknown
    ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 0007072f

If I do not close the error message I can continue Browsing if I close the error message IE closes down.

I have Trend Anti-Spyware running automatticaly at Start Up and a similar error message appears.

This is really doing my head in. I even downloaded and installed IE 7 Beta to see if that solved the problem but to no alas.

Attached is the HJT Logfile. I would really apperciate if someone could help me out before I go to the drastic length of formatting the Hard Drive.

    Thanks You:

    Regards
    Jase

    Welcome to Majorgeeks!

It was not a good idea to upgrade to IE 7 especially while having possible malware problems. IE7 is only a beta and really should only be used by beta testers or very experience users that are willing to deal with problems caused by beta applications.

Please do not post logs inline! As you can see Halo attached it but we will normally delete them if directions for attaching logs are not followed. This information is in the sticky threads.

You may or may not have some malware problems hiding that we need to locate. Please follow our standard cleaning procedures which are necessary for us to provide you support. Also there are steps included for installing, running, and posting HijackThis logs as attachments.
    • Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support
    • Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.
    • Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.
    • After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis and attach a log:
    • When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too (these scans are covered in steps 6 & 7 of the READ & RUN ME sticky)
      • Bitdefender
      • Panda Scan
      • HijackThis
