Help please... spyware take over

My home page has been ursuped by "about blank" and no matter how I try it always changes back to this same screen. I have run Ad-ware 6.0, Spybot search, CWShredder, and Hijackthis (which I do not really understand). The CWShredder always deletes a hidden.dll file then restarts my computer and the file is always back again. Ad-ware always deletes two files it states are possibly trying to take over my home page but the home page always goes back to the "about blank" and the Ad-ware finds the same files the next time I cut the computer on. Spybot has not been any help on this one...

Can anyone please assist me?

To help us to best help you, please follow the steps below closely and in the order given and do not skip anything. If you have any difficulty, please post back letting us know what steps you have completed, what you found while doing the scans if anything along with details about any problems you may have encountered in completing the steps. The more details you can provide the better. Don't be afraid to ask for additional help if you don't understand something!

- Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ ME FIRST BEFORE ASKING FOR SUPPORT: Basic Spyware, Trojan And Virus Removal Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.

- Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.

After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem:

- Download HijackThis 1.99.1

- Unzip the hijackthis.exe file to a folder you create named C:\Program Files\HJT

- Do NOT run Hijack This from the Desktop, a temp folder, or a sub-folder of C:\Documents and Settings, or choose to run it directly from the downloaded ZIP file.

- Before running HijackThis: You must close each of the following:your web browser, e-mail client, instant messenger, and programs like notepad, wordpad, MS Word etc. And any other unnecessary running programs.

- Run HijackThis and save your log file.

- Post your log as an ATTACHMENT to your next message. (Do NOT copy/paste the log into your post).

Ok, it took a while but I have gone through all of the steps and I have attached my new Hijackthis.

The browser goes to MSN when I first opened it after doing all of these, then it went back to the Blank when I closed it and opened it again. I now have Adware 6.0, spybot, Stinger, Hijack this, CWShredder, CCleaner, spyblaster (which only runs from the actual site), kill2me, about:buster.

From what I read it seems this is the "about" problem, but it will not go away... help please

Ad-Aware 6.0 is out of date. The link we provided is Ad-Aware SE 1.05. Did you update to the proper version?

Edit: I see you have a version of Ad-Aware 6.0 you purchased. I'm not sure if they still support 6.0 and provide updates to it. What is the date of your last reference file update?

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!! I re-ran all of the steps after figureing out how to upgrade my account. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!! It has been a few days and me and hubby could not figure it out
