HELP "please wait while the connection..."

Hi! First of all i´m really amateur concerning PCs so I would ask for some patience!
On booting up a white screen kicks in the phrase "please wait while the connection is being established" with German wording underneath.
I have already read some of the previous posts and tried to follow what you have said in order to get the FRST log file, however it´s here that I have a problem: I can´t get to "System Recory Options". I´m running on Windows XP and 1) accessing from "Advanced BIOS" isn´t possible; 2) and from the windows installation cd the only possibility are: reinstall windows or repair windows using Recovery Console (and when I choose the second option no list of commands appear only "C:\" and a list of commands if I write HELP).
