Hi Fellow Geeks,

I would like some assistance in solving Malware issues upon my mothers PC.
I have read and completed ALL steps inside "READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support" guide.

This is my first major issue with Malware upon a PC, usually I will just rebuild the computer after formating the volumes, but in this instance I decided to try and learn something and solve the issues rather than just burying my head in the sand and taking the easy way out. I also need to understand ALL security related issues that can affect PCs as it's my job to protect our business from these issues.

Welcome to Majorgeeks!

You need to give us an indication of what your malware problems are. I don't see any problems other than the email item mentioned by Panda and Bitdefender and Bitdefender said it deleted it anyway.

Also did you run ALL steps in the READ & RUN ME and did you follow them in the order written. It seems like step 2 was not run. You also dod not run CounterSpy or AVG Antispyware and attach the log as requested.

Also you did not update Sun Java and uninstall the old versions as requested in step 6.

Apologies for not following your instruction to the letter, some I accidently missed others were different from current due to a printout I did last week. Ran "Windows Defender" and "Malicious Software Removal" instead of CounterSpy.

I will redo logs and repost them using the current post

No problem! Just remember to always use the current online READ & RUN ME. Malware changes many times per day and we frequently have to make updates to the READ ME to keep up.
