My Computer has a lot of junk on it....

Is there an easy way to "clean up" Windows XP without the hassle of reformatting my Hard Drive (I've got too many files to back up)

I'm losing performance from my computer, and it freezes up on occasion. I think it may be from program conflicts... But any help would be great

    1. Scan disk.
    2. Go to control panel, add remove programs and remove stuff you don't use and isn't important. (e.g games you don't play anymore)

I mean just delete the junk....and clean registry, isn't too hard.

Here are some other reg cleaners you may find useful in addition to RegVac (which is very good, I might add!)

Also, clean out spyware with these!

And here's something to free up some RAM!

Make sure all your programs are updated and current. Also, make sure you are cleaning out the Temporay Internet files, and defragmenting the hard drive once a week or so. Here's a handy little defrag tool!

Hope this isn't too much info overload! You can always download and try stuff, and remove it if you don't like! You really should gain some performance back after cleaning out some of this stuff, and come back and ask questions if you need to!

    Good Luck!

Startup CPL adds a control panel icon to manage startup programs you dont need. These waste valuable memory and resources and many are installed without you noticing:

Install it and look for Startup icon in Control Panel, real easy to use.
