PROBLEM: pc does not turn on when power button is pressed its like your battery is dead in you r car a dissatifying nothing.
if i pull out the power cord and replace it, a brief flicker occurs in the LED beside the button then nothing.
could it the PSU or perhaps just the battery ...im just not sure how to trouble shoot this.before this it gave me a problem turning on where during the boot it seemed to get stuck in loop and continually tried to run a process until i shut down ...unplugged and tried a gain at witch point everytrhing was fine .
not long after i shut down and well ...im stuck...no juice :

Hi, battery would not be the cause. The battery saves settings, you would get errors. Check all your connections from your powers supply, ie, remove and reconnect them. Power supplies are fairly cheap, but a non responsive computer can usually be traced to a bad power cord, power supply or motherboard. In the order you have gone so far, yes, a power supply is the next thing to check.

I had a similar issue with an old HP. It was the motherboard.

If you get some power by unplugging/replugging the cord, than it might not be the power supply, but your Mobo.

Mobo is short for Motherboard. Main Logic board.

Or, the big thingie that everything connects to that is NOT the power supply. ;)

but thanks for being nice with your reply.i put this machine together i'm just not up on the um "lingo" is all . so i think it is the "mobo" the psu is supplying juice i stuck some LED s in there and they all lit up .any suggestions on a replacement?
