Please forgive me if this double posts, in the middle of my last post my computer decided to reboot. A few days ago I started getting lots of pop ups mostly to security sites, changing my homepage, and rebooting itself. I have followed the directions from the sticky at the top of the page, and while it helped a lot(especially about removing SpySheriff), I'm still having trouble.

I have run all the scans, and will be attaching the logs except from the Panda scan, which I can't seem to get the computer to stay on long wnough to do(Bit Defender took 4 tries). CWShredder found cw.msconfig, Spybot has been clean the last two scans, AdAware keeps finding Cool Web Search but isn't removing it upon reboot, Ewido finds the same Look 2Me adware every time I scan. I tried to remove the about:blank entried in HJT, but they are back every time I scan.

Advice will be greatly appreciated, thank you for your time, Shauna

Please install HijackThis as per the instructions in step 7 of the READ ME. You installed it exactly where we request that it not be installed.

Is your copy of Ewido the free 15 day trial or a paid version?

Did you install this NielsenOnline stuff? It is considered a form malware!

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [NetMeter] C:\Program Files\NetRatingsNetmeter\NetMeter\NielsenOnline.exe

    See: http://www.file.net/process/nielsenonline.exe.html

You have a Look 2 Me infection we need to remove.

Sorry about that, is it right this time? I just knew there would be something I didn't do.

The Ewido is just the trial version for now.

The Nielson Net Meter probably slipped by me because I am part of another Nielson program, Homescan. I remember when I installed the Homescan, they did ask about Net Meter too. I probably neglected to check the right box to opt out.

After reading your post, I found a Look2Me cleaner, which seems to have stopped the popups. After using that, I ran Ewido and Ad-Aware again, and they both came back clean. Thank you for telling me exactly what was wrong, after four days of this mess, I am truly grateful, will name firstborn after you.

The log I have attached, hopefully correctly this time, was done after the Look2Me cleaner and both scans. I notice the about:blanks are still there. Is there anything else I can do? Thank you, Shauna

Okay! Look 2 Me is gone. What do you want to do about NetMeter? Do you want to stop it from loading?
