Help plz anyone ........

    I have a dell dimension 4550 desktop but it is lacking sound ive tried everything but no luck please .....help...

    Greetings, sheba0207...

    1. Is your volume control on the taskbar, and have you tried adjusting it?

    2. Are your speakers working?

    3. Try opening Control Panel, System, Hardware, Device Manager, and see if your sound card is showing up there...if it's got an exclamation point beside the device, you probably need to reinstall the drivers...use the links from da.bell's post...

    Yep - looks like those links are pointing to the Dell ADI or Creative drivers...

    Yes, they are pointing directly to the two files that the OP might need depending upon if they have an onboard audio card or a PCI audio card :-D

    Hello ty for all the replies i have been to the dell web site and tried to download the drivers but all i get is that some file has created a problem and it wont let me download anything..........

    Can you download any file from any website, or is this just occuring at the Dell site?

    Please post exactly the error you see - list the file showing when it says has created a problem.
