Help Plz!!!!!!!

    Hi i have a cable modem and it wont let one of my computers connect to the internet and the other it does i do not use a router and both computers have windows xp home edition. on the computer that it doesnt let connect it justs detecting proxy settings and the computer it does let on just connects find anyone have any suggestions??

    You have both computers hooked up through windows networking? Or are you simply moving the ethernet/usb cable from the modem to either computer when you want to use it?
