    Hi there,
I have a problem here. I have a printer (Epson LQ-2170) that connect to my Notebook (Win Vista) through print server (D-Link DP-300U).
My problem occurs when I want to print report from my DOS-based application (created from Clipper - I guess). It won't print at all. But when i use via CMD and set it with 'net use lpt1 \\bla2\bla2', it goes OK.
FYI, before i change to Win VISTA, i used win XP Pro.... and my application can run and print smoothly.

Can anyone give me a solution?

    Thanks a lot in advance

The problem is that most DOS programs print the lpt port by default. What you want to is add /persistent:yes to the end of the net use command and it will map that printer to the lpt1 port every time you login.

    'net use lpt1 \\bla2\bla2 /persistent:yes'

    SOLVED....
i think the problem is the print server. I must connect straight to the print server, instead of the sharing printer at the server.

    Thx all
