help!!!!!! produ key for office

hi!

my old hardisk just died on me, & after getting a new one i had to re-install everything
but now i can't install office xp from the cd
because we lost the original cd case with the product key
i managed to install it partially, but every time i try to open a tool, it asks for the key and then closes.
how can i find it?
someone told me it might b "hiding" in one of the files in the office cd

please help!....

(my professors aren't accepting the "my laptop ate it" excuse...)

If you have the Product ID you can try calling Microsoft.
