Over the past week(Literally the same day I had to reinstall Windows 7.) or so I've been in an ongoing bout with various forms of Alureon. They seem to be appearing at random, usually dropping my computer's speed by a fair deal, and it's driving me mad. I've attached the required logs(RogueKiller has a [2] as I forgot to disable UAC before running the programs the first time.) and would appreciate some help when possible.

I am not seeing any malware however the Background Intelligence Transfer Service appears to be missing. Are you having troubles with Windows Updates at all?

That's strange, I wonder if something I ran finally killed it. I'll keep monitoring to see if another instance appears. Thanks for checking, and sorry for using time that could have gone to helping somebody else. :)

I'm not having any noticeable issues with updating Windows right now.

I know double-posting is frowned upon, but I figured out what happened. Apparently some point before I took the logs, MSE found, quarantined, and removed the following files, without my knowledge:

I'm guessing these actions were applied when I restarted for the UAC changed to take effect.

Again, sorry for taking your time when you could have been helping somebody else.

Please download this file to your desktop.

    BITS.reg

    • Now please click Start, and type regedit into the search box.
    • You should see a regedit.exe and icon appear in the Programs area of the Start Menu.
    • Right click on regedit.exe and select Run As Administrator
    • Then in the Registry Editor menu click File and select Import.
    • Navigate to the BITS.reg file saved to your Desktop and double click it. Allow it to be added to the registry.

Run the C:\MGTools\Getlogs.bat and attach the new MGlogs.zip.
