Help removing Antivirus Live Malware(?)

I am unable to access/start any 'exe' file on my computer due to a Antivirus Live malware/virus/spam or whatever it is that is blocking every thing I attempt to do.
When I try to access the internet I get a window saying "Internet Explorer Warning-visiting this web site may harm your computer!"

I am accessing via my wife's laptop and have found this thread:

....and have DL'd the TDSSKiller.exe directly to my desktop (on the infected PC) and input "%userprofile%\Desktop\TDSSKiller.exe" into the run field and I get a very quick DOS window that opens and immediatly closes and I never get to the "Follow the instructions to type in "delete" when it asks you what to do when if finds something".....

I am still getting all kinds of Windows Security Alerts (hundereds) that are all saying "Application cannot be exicuted. The file (give various file names) is infected. Do you want to activate your anitvirus software now?"

I am not even able toopen a simple text document.

I'm not sure what to do.
