Help removing IE and a trojan

Hi i need help uninstalling ieexplore, ive tried so many ways to uninstall it but its just not happening, this is because it has been infected with a trojan horse, ive got norton anti-virus and norton internet security, it can't repair the file because access is denied, ive tried deleting it through regedit, ive tried deleting it directly it says access denied!! Please help i need to get it off my computer!

 

What is the name of the virus? Usually, there's manual cleaning instructions available on the web.

Alternately, you can try booting into Safe Mode and running the scan from there.

 

undername it just shows it as a trojan horse, sorry but how do i reboot in safe mode?!?

 

Restart your system, before Windows starts to load press F8 key. Than choose Safe Mode with Networking.

Run LiveUpdate, than run a full system scan. If Norton does not remove the virus/trojan, try downloading some other utilities like Ad-aware and Spybot S&D 1.3. Run these in Safe Mode as well.

Reboot the system, and as soon as the system beeps at start up, press the <F8> key several times. You'll get a menu of options, one of which is Safe Mode (it takes a while to load Safe Mode because the system doesn't load any performance stuff, so it might take a lot longer than you're used to). You'll have to log on as the Administrator.
