Help removing malware from seriall.com

hi,

my brother was doing something stupid on my moms laptop, downloaded some file from seriall.com and double clicked it. he said the file dissappeared immediately, and now the laptop has popups etc. in internet explorer. i'm in safe mode now and still getting them. I did scans with spybot and adaware, spybot removed a lot of stuff and reg entries, but apparently it's not gone.

can anyone help me get rid of this crap? i've NEVER had spyware on my computer, and have no idea really of what to do.

this is my mom's work computer that she needs to use tommorrow, and she can't have her computer ac`cessing porn and stuff all day.

i've got hijack this and ccleaner, etc.
