    Hi all,

When playing some games, I get a blue popup screen that says "Resolution notice. For best picture quality switch to 1024x768". My screen resolution is already set to that, but I get the anoying pop-up anyway. My OS is XP home. Any ideas how I can get rid of this? It gives the option of pressing either 1 or 2 to disable or turn off the message, neither of which does anything. My virus software is up to date and run frequently, as is Adaware.

    Thanks,
    Mitch

My guess it is your monitor, that presents the popup (Aka. OSD = On Screen Display).

My monitor can also complain if one is using too low a refresh rate, but I disabled the popup since it complained independent of resolution (like when seeing the bootup-screen).

Usually it can be configured through the menu on the monitor. (Look in the monitor manual for accessing the menu)
