Hi, new to this forum mainly because I have a problem with my laptop :cry. I've used computers all my life but am by no means a computer expert - I know as much as I could possibly know without any training/classes for them.

First of all, I have a Sony Vaio VGN-FS840/W. Prior to coming across this site, I'd been running AVG, SpyBot, and ZoneAlarm. These were installed before this computer ever touched internet (since it's been in my posession).

I first bought 'my' laptop back in June of 06, and had a motherboard failure July 07' because the fan decided to quit working, supposedly. From what I can tell, the place I took it to to get it fixed couldn't exactly buy a harddrive for this laptop without buying the whole case so they picked one up on eBay or something and pretty much gave me back a whole different computer with a better processor and more memory than I originally had. However someone else's harddrive with someone elses stuff was already on here when I got it so a friend deleted everything for me and Windows was as good as new. Ok.
Monday while using it, I can't remember what I did or if anything was installed or changed before this, but I kept getting some kind of message every time I closed Internet Explorer. I disregarded it, as I was working on homework, and moved on. I turn off my laptop that night.
The next morning I go to turn on my laptop and I notice that the lights stay on longer than usual after pressing the button. The Vaio logo popped up, Windows Logo popped up, everything seemed to be running as usual other than that. Then, about as soon as I see the mouse come onto the screen, an error message pops up and before I can read the first two words, it shuts off. I try again, same thing. I try over and over to turn it on, hitting F8 furiously to try and get it to run Safe Mode but no luck for quite a few tries. One of the attempts brought me to the blue screen of death with a message that I stupidly wrote on a pizza box which got discarded. I did google what popped up at that time and found a few dabbles that said it's probably related to malware..
Anyway, finally, it works. I do a system restore to a few days before, and then try to restart. Again, does the same thing. I eventually get it to go to safe mode again and there it says the restore is complete. I reluctantly restart the computer, and this time it work Earlier tonight while on the internet, my wireless just decides to stop working. Repair doesn't do anything for me, I plug it into ethernet and that doesn't connect either, so I try restarting. Back to the same problem. Once again, try over and over and finally on one of the tries, it boots up normally. Magic.

So pretty much right now, I'm too scared to turn off my laptop because I really can't afford for this to be a problem. I'm a broke college student who uses his laptop very frequently for school, and I really don't have the money to pay someone to fix it now. I'd really appreciate any insight you guys have, I just can't be without my laptop. It's bad enough that my PC died earlier this year. Thank you very much in advance, I'm extremely grateful for any help.

    PS
The first thing I came across on this site was a MalWare removal forum that gave detailed instructions on what to try and what to download, all of which I tried but found no results. I've attached the log from the MGtools anyway.

    Here's this anyway...
the others came back with nothing. I think the same for MGtools, but like I said I'm not a computer expert by any means. Thanks so much, would really appreciate it.

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

Based on your description, my first assessment would be you are not having malware problems.
My second assessment is that you are not having malware problems. This second assessment is based on the only log you attached (I assume you meant the SUPERAntispyware and Malwarebytes were clean) as the MGlogs.zip file shows no malware either.

I suggest you post in the Software Forum.
