Help...Start Up problem

Hi everyone. I have windows XP.
Lately, when my computer starts up it takes like 2 minutes before I can get the IE browser to open. Sometimes when I hit the IE icon on my desktop a popup comes and says I am not connected to the internet....other times i hit IE---the houglass shows and then just disappears. Still nothing loads....

Then after nearly a minute(seems longer since my browser used to open inan instant-----4 browser will open because --obviously---I hit IE 4 times.

What is stopping the connection from getting to the ICOn ?

After I get online--everything is perfect and fast. Ive run many malware and such and all is good except for the slow startup--plz help.

Your problems may not be due to malware. They could just be due to what your system is loading at startup. All protection software has to hook into your Operating System and this takes time. Have you installed any new software recently? An updates for software installed? Any of these could change startup behavior.

If you want to check to see if there is any malware at play, please follow the instructions in the below link and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions. If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going. Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not.
