Help- "This page cannot be displayed"!

I keep receiving this message "This page cannot be displayed" on my SBC Yahoo DSL browser (just installed) about every other link. I cannot "Refresh" and instead must hit "Back" and retry the link. It's getting quite frustrating. I have run a virus scan (EZTrust?) in the past week with no viruses found, but don't keep one normally running because I notice it gets much slower. I tried to run Pandascan but couldn't get it to download without an error message halfway thru.
Finally, I keep receiving error messages when my computer sits idle for a while, headlined with "YCommon, YBrowser, or YPager", and the last one reported that "YCommon caused an invalid page fault in module KERNEL32.DLL at 0167:bff7b9a6." I am forced to restart the computer. I have a notion that it's related to Yahoo Instant Messenger and just uninstalled it since I never use it, and we'll see what happens. Here is my HijackThis scan log, and I was hoping you might check it out to see if there's anything I can do. Thanks. :)

    Firewall running?......that's the norm

Next just to save system speed you can shut these off.

    C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\MSGSRV32.EXE.............(Not MSN messenger, windows server)
    C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\MSTASK.EXE...............(do you have Scheduled tasks?)
    C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\mmtask.tsk ................(MStask)
    C:\PROGRAM FILES\COMMON FILES\REAL\UPDATE_OB\REALSCHED.EXE...(real player junk)
    C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\QTTASK.EXE.........(quick time junk file)
C:\WINDOWS\JAVA\WAVEBAK.EXE...........(will start when you need it)
    C:\PROGRAM FILES\COMMON FILES\REAL\UPDATE_OB\RNATHCHK.EXE ...(real player junk)
    C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\HPZTSB04.EXE...................(printer software)
    C:\PALM\HOTSYNC.EXE ......................................(palm pilot?)
    C:\PROGRAM FILES\NIKON\NKVIEW6\NKVMON.EXE ........(photo software)

Do you use Adaware 6.1?.......remove spyware
    get it here

NO firewall, at least not that I know of.

Thanks for the tips, but I've still got the problem. And I can't download anything right now- including Adaware. It seems to me that it's a connectivity issue where it goes in and out sporadically, and I momentarily lose my connection, interrupting the download. Yahoo tech support says my connection is good though. Any ideas for a computer "grape" like me?

Not sure if this will take care of your browsing problem, but these lines need fixing in HijackThis:
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/cus.../search/ie.html
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/cus...//www.yahoo.com

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SysUpd] C:\WINDOWS\SYSUPD.EXE

Then go thru the instructions here to remove SYSUPD:

    Educate yourself about spyware/hijackers:

And you really need to be running an antivirus and firewall.

    Here's a good online AV:

With Ycommon being the error file and as its a big part of the Yahoo browser I would be tempted to re-install the Yahoo software you will have been given.

plus please read the links AlanC provided as they will help keep you safe as you are on broadband and all sorts of nastys love broadband connections.

Either Outpost or Sygate Free versions... I normally would say ZoneAlarm Free but users have been have some issues in uninstalling this program.... its great BTW and I use it but the fact that some see problems completly uninstalling it lead me to suggest those two above.

both can be found here for download
