    Hi friends,

My laptop keeps crashing on me every few hours. I've gotten the blue screen numerous times and have restarted my laptop quite a bit. I am just wondering what's wrong and how I could fix this problem.

I'm running Windows 7 enterprise on my Dell 1505, integrated graphics card, Intel T2500 @ 2.0 Ghz, 2.0 Gb RAM (I know, it's old and crappy but it still works). Recently I bought a 22" Viewsonic LED monitor and have been viewing things through a VGA cable. [*side question* if I were to get a VGA to DVI converter and attach it to the VGA port on my laptop and run DVI to my monitor, will it be the same as having a DVI to DVI connection? Will the video quality be better or stay the same?]

I ran WinDbg per the tutorial on here but don't really understand what it means. Any help is appreciated!

Agreed with the CCleaner registry cleaning routine - the download is here.

If you're comfortable with working inside your machine, you might try reseating any RAM modules.

I ran ccleaner and it fixed most of my issues. I'll try running a 720p video on vlc player and try to multitask to see if my computer crashes again. Guess I'll stick with my VGA port for now or until I can get a new desktop.
