Help Using Vista - "Cut" photos can't restore

    I was organizing photos and somehow hit "Cut" instead of copy. Then there was a message and somehow my files did not paste to the new folders and are gone. I have tried Recuva and Restoration but they can't seem to find them. I can still see them under my "Recently Changed" files, as thumbnails, but when I click on them to try to view it says they can't be found. HELP! This was a big family trip we just went on!

    HI

    Its possible that if the drive that these pics were on was C: and covered by the Shadow Copy function in Vista that you "may" be able to recover them, Open your drive up and right click anywhere in a blank space and choose properties, then click the Previous Versions tab and then choose a date in the list ( if available ) double click it to open and then see if the pics are in the folder they were originally saved in, if they are still saved then highlight and click restore.

    Where is the Previous Versions tab? I clicked on Properties when I had my hard drive open on Windows Explorer, but the Tabs were: General, Tools, Hardware, Quick Finder, Sharing, Security and Quota. Is it under one of theses somewhere? I poked around but did not seeanything like previous versions...

    open my computer and right click on c drive before you open that drive to get to previous version tab
