Help Wanted

Hi guys I am the type that plug in and play means a 2 day phone session to a help line.
I am doing a bit of DJ work and can hook laptop to tv in the pub. I am after information on 2 fronts
A= I have seen DJs putting graphics on laptop and directing them to the tv advertising drinks promotions and various other things, they are colourful spin round and do loads of things I would love to be able to do all that
B= I have a database of 4000 songs on Microsoft works but I would love to transfer them to another programme that would allow me search for various items ie song,artist disc number also for it to be a little more interesting than the works program.

1- Use the pub's TV as a second monitor, so you DJ on the laptop screen and drag your ads over to the second screen. As for the 'Ads' you could make videos that loop or power point or any slide show makers for that.
On your laptop there is usually a FN (Function) key along with another key that will let you set up your displays - External, mirror/dupe, or second monitor.
